IBM announces AI-powered managed detection and response

Product updates

  • IBM has announced IBM Threat Detection and Response (TDR) Services, a new AI-enabled managed security offering providing 24x7 monitoring, investigation, and remediation of security alerts across hybrid cloud environments.

  • IBM TDR leverages AI to assess alerts, recommend detection rules, and optimally escalate the most critical incidents. TDR also reconciles disparate security tools and policies to help detect threats and identify security gaps by using AI to map an organization’s security posture to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

  • The MDR service will also offer open-ended integrations, providing unified visibility and control across existing security tools, cloud, on-premises, and operational technology (OT).
