AMD acquires Nod.ai to improve Open AI software capabilities

  • AMD has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nod.ai, an open-source AI software company, for an undisclosed amount.

  • Through the acquisition, AMD aims to enhance its open-source AI software capabilities, enabling the easy deployment of high-performing AI models across its product portfolio, such as AMD Instinct data center accelerators, Ryzen AI processors, EPYC processors, Versal SoCs, and Radeon GPUs.

  • Nod.ai provides finely-tuned AI solutions to hyperscalers, enterprises, and startups. Its SHARK software, which includes compiler-driven automation features, minimizes the necessity for manual optimization and accelerates the deployment process for high-performing AI models across a wide range of data center, edge, and client platforms.
