French digital health startup Tilak Healthcare has raised EUR 10 million (USD 10.5 million) in a funding round led by Elaia and Cap Horn, with participation from existing and new investors. The funding brings the company's total funding to EUR 22 million (USD 23.2 million) since its founding in 2016.
The funds raised will be used to accelerate the rollout of its remote monitoring system for ophthalmic conditions, OdySight, in France and abroad. The company also plans to develop new solutions for other medical conditions.
Tilak Healthcare has developed OdySight, the first remote monitoring system for age-related vision impairments—particularly macular degeneration—combined with a mobile gaming interface. The CE-marked platform has improved the care of 12,000 patients suffering from retinal diseases in Europe and the US and allows ophthalmologists to monitor patients' visual acuity in real-time.
