ABTC joins e-waste program as lithium-ion battery recycler

Partnerships

  • American Battery Technology Company (ABTC), a Nasdaq-listed integrated battery materials supplier, has partnered with Pyxera Global and Terra's “Done with It” pilot program as the lithium-ion battery recycler to test the viability of recovering used electronics.

  • The program accepts laptops and tablets from US residents and sends the devices to a secure FedEx facility in Tennessee. If repairable, the devices will be sent to Electronics Recycling Solutions (ERS), a social enterprise, for repair. Otherwise, ABTC will break down the batteries for recycling at its facility in Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center in Nevada.

  • The pilot program will go live on December 15, 2023. The partnership intends to develop circular business models for the logistics industry and support a domestic battery metals supply chain for electric vehicles.
