Sidekick Health acquires aidhere to expand digital health portfolio

M&A

  • Digital Therapeutics (DTx) company Sidekick Health has acquired Germany-based prescription digital therapeutics company aidhere for an undisclosed amount.

  • Through the acquisition, Sidekick Health aims to strengthen its position in the digital therapeutics space and expand its offerings to payer partners in the US. It also plans to co-develop prescription digital therapeutic products with global pharmaceutical partners.

  • aidhere is a DTx company developing solutions based on nutrition, behavior, and exercise to help patients improve their health and well-being. The company developed a weight management app called “Zanadio,” which has been prescribed to over 50,000 patients in Germany and is reimbursed by all statutory health insurers. It has achieved significant weight loss in patients and is recognized in Germany's regulated DiGA formulary.
