LyondellBasell, a global chemical industry leader, has acquired a 50% stake in Rodepa Vastgoed, the holding company of De Paauw Sustainable Resources (DPSR), a Dutch plastic waste recycling company. The acquisition is from DPSR's CEO, Roy de Paauw, and ING Corporate Investments shareholdings.
Founded in 1956, DPSR is a Dutch plastic waste-recycling company processing post-consumer and post-industrial plastic packaging waste. The company operates production facilities in Hengelo and Enschede in the Netherlands.
The acquisition aligns with LyondellBasell's strategy to expand access to plastic waste feedstock. Further, it will supplement its integrated hub strategy by scaling the company’s portfolio of CirculenRecover products.
