Elcogen, an Estonian developer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), fuel-cell stacks, and electrolyzer cells, and Bumhan Fuel Cell, a company specializing in hydrogen application technology, have signed an MOU to collaborate on the commercialization of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzer cell (SOEC) technology.
Under the partnership, Elcogen will supply its SOFC and SOEC technology, while Bumhan will contribute its knowledge and experience to the development and commercialization of high-efficiency SOFC and SOEC technologies.
Analyst QuickTake: During the same month , Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, a member of HD Hyundai Group, invested EUR 45 million (USD 47.6 million) in Elcogen’s solid oxide technology. The two companies initially collaborated in January 2023, which focused on further testing of Elcogen’s technology and development of systems.
