Island, a firm that has developed a secure web browser for enterprises, has raised USD 100 million at a USD 1.5 billion valuation in a Series C funding round led by Prysm Capital with participation from Canapi Ventures and existing investors Insight Partners, Stripes, Sequoia, Cyberstarts, and Georgian. Following this round, the firm's total external funding stands at USD 325 million.
The fresh cash will be funneled into global expansion, R&D, and customer success activities.
The Island enterprise browser integrates a range of security tools and utilities, including internal web application and SaaS security, multi-factor authentication and network routing, data exfiltration protection, and built-in safe browsing features, along with zero trust network access for a native user experience.
The company claims sales of more than two million browsers to organizations across all major industries, including companies in the top 20 of the Fortune 100.
