VR molecular structure visualization platform Nanome introduced MARA, a GenAI copilot designed to assist chemists in biopharma research and development. Accessible through a ChatGPT-like web interface, MARA performs routine cheminformatics tasks and responds to scientific queries, aiming to streamline the research process.
MARA allows scientists to input questions in a text window and receive informative responses in a conversational tone. The AI assistant’s capabilities include exploring, preparing, and rectifying various molecular file formats, as well as performing complex multi-step processes across different tools and databases.
MARA ensures scientifically accurate information by relying on defined knowledge and deterministic computation and informatics tools, admitting its limitations when necessary.
Analyst QuickTake: Nanome announced the availability of its platform on the Meta Quest Pro in October 2022. The company is likely to further expand platform availability to the recently released Meta Quest 3 and the upcoming Apple Vision Pro, as it seeks to utilize these headsets' improved visual fidelity to bolster user immersion for molecular structure visualization.
