CentML, an ML model optimization platform, has raised USD 27 million in a seed funding round led by Gradient Ventures (Google's AI-focused venture fund), with participation from Radical Ventures, NVIDIA, Deloitte Ventures, and Thomson Reuters Ventures.
The funding will be used to research and further develop and improve CentML's platform, as well as to scale its engineering team and broader team across the US and Canada.
Formed in 2022 and based in Canada, CentML's software platform enables clients to optimize and deploy machine-learning models with improved performance and cost-efficiency. The company claims that the platform can speed up inference and training by up to 8x, reducing costs while maintaining model accuracy.
