Intuitive Machines, a space exploration company, has delayed the launch of its first lunar lander mission, IM-1, by two months to mid-January 2024. The mission was scheduled to launch in November 2023 but has been delayed due to pad congestion at Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39A.
The IM-1 mission will use Intuitive Machines' Nova-C lander, which weighs 675 kilograms. It will deliver five payloads for NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program and six commercial payloads.
