The collaboration aims to expedite the time to market for industrial automation systems by combining their respective technologies. 

The companies plan to use AI to enhance automation across different roles, including decision-makers, control engineers, and operators. This approach is intended to streamline processes and boost worker productivity. 

Moreover, they will integrate Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service into FactoryTalk Design Studio, allowing engineers to generate code using natural language prompts, automating routine tasks, and enhancing design efficiency.
