Dufour Aerospace, a Swiss developer of hybrid-electric VTOL aerial vehicles, has signed a purchase agreement with European Medical Drone, a Swedish drone operator, to provide 11 Aero2 uncrewed tilt-wing aircraft.
Under this agreement, Dufour will provide one Aero2 X2.3 prototype aircraft in 2024 and 10 serial Aero2 aircraft, with delivery starting in 2026.
Analyst QuickTake: In the same month , Dufour Aerospace also partnered with Air Energy, a developer of compressed air systems and laboratory and medical vacuum systems. Under this partnership, the latter was selected as a supplier for the smart battery packs of the Aero2 tilt-wing aircraft, which has a hybrid-electric propulsion system.
