Microsoft introduces Copilot in Windows 11 update

Product updates

  • Microsoft has launched a significant update for Windows 11, introducing Copilot, a chatbot similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT. Microsoft is positioning Copilot as a major component of this update.

  • Copilot is a GenAI that generates human-like text and performs various tasks with minimal human input. It is integrated into Windows 11 to provide assistance with tasks such as opening apps, turning on Bluetooth, and summarizing web content.

  • Other features include a virtual video editor, improved accessibility features, energy-saving options, and more customization.

  • Copilot is still in preview and is only available in North America and parts of Asia and South America and will be expanded to other regions in future.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This feature is part of Microsoft's effort to enhance the user experience, particularly in areas like accessibility and energy-saving options. As Windows 11 continues to gain traction, Microsoft is tapping into AI capabilities to make the operating system more user-friendly and efficient.
