Sprout.ai, a UK-based company that offers an AI-powered platform for insurers to process claims, has raised GBP 5.4 million (~USD 5.7 million) in an additional venture funding round co-led by Amadeus Capital Partners and Praetura Ventures, with participation from Octopus Ventures, Playfair, Techstars, and Capricorn Capital Partners, among others. Total funds raised by the company now stand at USD 21.3 million.
The company aims to invest the new funds in product innovation and AI as well as go-to-market strategies to accelerate growth. It also plans to expand into new insurance lines and global territories, including North America.
Sprout.ai’s purpose-built claims process automation solution is based on its patented technology which leverages GenAI and large language models for claims assessment and AI model training. The company claims its solution can increase operational efficiency and reduce claim handling costs by up to 50%. Its notable customers include AdvanceCare, MetLife, and Generali.
