Solarcycle and EDF Renewables North America partner to recycle solar panels

Partnerships

  • Solarcycle, a technology-focused solar recycling firm, has teamed up with EDF Renewables North America, a leading renewable energy developer, to recycle damaged or unusable solar panels from various solar sites.

  • Solarcycle’s technology can recover 95% of the materials in recycled panels, considerably surpassing the industry’s <50% average. The extracted materials, which include silver, silicon, copper, aluminum, and glass, will be sold for new solar manufacturing, contributing to a sustainable solar supply chain.

  • The partnership is expected to help EDF Renewables create a circular supply chain for its North American solar manufacturing operation.
