PolarisAR launches STELLAR Knee for mixed reality surgical guidance

FDA approval
Product updates

  • PolarisAR, a startup specializing in mixed reality (MR) surgical tech, launched STELLAR Knee after receiving 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The product is designed to assist in knee arthroplasty procedures by providing real-time access to intraoperative anatomic data through MR displays.

  • STELLAR Knee employs proprietary optical-tracking algorithms and spatial-computing software to measure and capture anatomic data, facilitate intraoperative planning with sub-millimeter precision, and offer resection guidance.

  • The technology aims to improve surgical precision without the need for a large operating room footprint or significant financial investment.
