CAST AI, which specializes in optimizing the management of IT infrastructure, has unveiled a new tool called Automated Workload Rightsizing at the Kubecon + CloudNativeCon conference. The service is aimed at optimizing Kubernetes workloads for efficiency and better cost management.
Two key features of the Automated Workload Rightsizing tool include monitoring actual resource consumption to resize a cloud-native application automatically and reallocating resources to other applications.
Additionally, the new PrecisionPack scheduler has been announced, using a bin-packing algorithm to ensure pods run on specific nodes, thereby increasing availability levels. Both these services can be used with the company's Autoscaler, Spot Instance Management, and Cost Reporting Suite of tools.
