South Korea's manufacturing conglomerate, Samsung, introduced its GenAI model, Samsung Gauss, named after mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss.

The model's purpose is to utilize AI to enhance consumers' lives by drawing knowledge from various sources. Currently used for employee productivity, it will expand to other product applications.  

Samsung Gauss comprises language, code, and image components. Language improves work efficiency by aiding in tasks like document summarization and translation. Code, along with its assistant code.i, support software development. Image facilitates image generation and editing.  

These models can be applied on-device for consumer privacy protection. Samsung also maintains an AI Red Team to ensure safe AI usage.
