Aigen, a developer of solar-powered agricultural robots, has raised USD 12 million in a Series A funding round led by ReGen Ventures, with participation from NEA, Cleveland Avenue, Incite, and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments LLLP.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its manufacturing capacity to meet pre-order demand.
Founded in 2020, Aigen develops solar-powered autonomous robots for crop management. Its robotic fleet can autonomously navigate, weed, and analyze row crops without using any chemicals or diesel fuel. The company is currently building a 7,500 sq ft manufacturing and R&D facility to produce its robotic fleet and is set to debut in April 2024.
