Direct primary care provider Forward has raised USD 100 million in a Series E funding round led by Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, and Softbank. The transaction comprises equity financing along with debt financing. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 657 million. The company also launched AI-powered modules for health screening and diagnosis called CarePods.
The new funds raised will be used to build and commercialize the CarePods.
The newly launched CarePods will serve as a standalone health clinic that will include biometric body scans, blood tests, and diagnostic screenings. The AI-based units can monitor various health areas, such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health. Further, the company plans to deploy 3,200 CarePods in the next year, with plans for additional expansion in 2024, offering the product at a monthly rate of USD 99.
