Lithoz, a provider of ceramic 3D printing solutions, has acquired a strategic stake in AMAREA Technology, a company specializing in multi-material 3D printing. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
AMAREA Technology has developed a 3D printing technology that is capable of processing up to six different materials in a single print run. This multi-material jetting (MMJ) technology allows the creation of parts and components using different ceramics, metals, polymers, and composites. They can also adjust important parameters, like filling levels, porosity, gradient, layer height, and density.
Lithoz expects to combine its Lithoz lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) technology with the MMJ technology from AMAREA to offer multi-material 3D-printed applications for various industries, ranging from the semiconductor to aerospace industries.
