MR headset manufacturer Vrgineers raises USD 6 million in Series A funding to expand product portfolio

Funding

  • Vrgineers, an MR headset manufacturer for pilot training, raised USD 6 million in a Series A funding round led by Taiwania Capital, with additional participation from existing investors, including Nation 1, which increased its share by 0.5 million USD.

  • The funds are earmarked to expand the company’s product portfolio, including the launch of a new version of the XTAL headset later this year. Additionally, the investment aims to facilitate the company's growth in new markets.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The news follows the company’s partnership with NVIDIA and AMD to develop the XTAL 3 CAVU MR headset, which supplement funding received for product development efforts. The headset will utilize NVIDIA’s Quadro RTX A6000 GPU, aiming to reduce latency, and AMD’s Xilinix subsidiaries cables to connect its 24-megapixel image sensors.
