  • IBM and Meta have jointly launched the AI Alliance, bringing together over 50 global partners from various sectors, including AMD, CERN, Intel, Oracle, and academic institutions like Cornell University and the University of Tokyo.

  • The aim is to support open innovation and science in AI, fostering a collaborative community to accelerate responsible innovation while emphasizing trust, safety, security, diversity, and economic competitiveness.

  • It focuses on six key areas, including the development of benchmarks, open foundation models, AI hardware accelerators, global AI skills building, educational resources, and initiatives for open AI development.
