Google has introduced an upgrade for its Bard Chatbot, powered by its new language model, Gemini Pro. The chatbot's enhanced features are claimed to provide better responses and comprehension of user intents.
The upgrade is expected to be an improvement in summarizing, brainstorming, and writing. Google also plans to launch the Bard Advanced, which would use the more powerful Gemini Ultra model. Unique capabilities of this version include natively multimodal inputs; i.e., understanding and creating images, audio, and video in addition to text.
Analyst QuickTake: Google claims Gemini outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 among several benchmarks, signaling a significant upgrade for Bard. While Bard Advanced, arriving in 2024, brings superior capabilities, including multimodal support for text, images, audio, and code, it's slated for a later release. This update marks a step forward for Bard, building on previous enhancements integrating with various Google services.
