VAST Data raises USD 118 million in Series E funding to develop data infrastructure

Funding

  • VAST Data, a developer of data infrastructure technologies with a focus on AI applications, has secured USD 118 million in a Series E funding round. The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, with participation from New Enterprise Associates, BOND Capital, and Drive Capital. The funds were raised at a valuation of USD 9.1 billion, bringing the total funds raised to USD 381 million.

  • It aims to use the fresh funds to develop a new category of infrastructure, centralizing data for improved system performance and discovery.

  • The company announced that cumulative software bookings surpassed USD 1 billion as of Q3 2023, with noteworthy customers like the US Air Force, the US Department of Energy, Verizon, Pixar, and Zoom. Furthermore, it is extending its presence in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.
