Dremio, a provider of data lakehouse and analytics solutions, has introduced a new GenAI-powered data discovery feature that simplifies data contextualization and analytics.

The feature leverages GenAI for data documentation and labeling to provide in-depth business context for analytics while minimizing manual tasks. It builds on its previous GenAI text-to-SQL capabilities.

In addition, Dremio is extending its analytics engine for Apache Iceberg, a popular open-table format. Companies can now convert raw data from multiple databases into Apache Iceberg format with a single click, both on-premises and in the cloud.

The company claims that the extension of its engine allows organizations to migrate easily and scalably from less efficient formats to a modern, open-table format.
