Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies partners with Clarksons for green hydrogen marine supply chain

Partnerships

  • Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, a German developer of hydrogen storage and distribution solutions, has partnered with Clarksons Specialised Products, a company operating in the chemical tanker market, to build a maritime supply chain for transporting green hydrogen.

  • This collaboration aims to create a supply chain for the safe, efficient transportation of green hydrogen using Hydrogenious' LOHC technology which binds hydrogen to a thermal oil, making it safe for storage and shipment. Once at its destination, the hydrogen can be released and used for industrial purposes and energy.

  • The partnership also explores the potential use of LOHC technology as a decarbonizing fuel for the shipping industry. Clarksons will support this initiative with its experience in shipping strategies and regulatory frameworks.
