Revolut, a UK-based neobank serving the B2C and B2B segments, will temporarily suspend its cryptocurrency trading services for UK business clients from January 3, 2024. However, these clients can still hold and sell their current crypto assets without any changes to their service.
The pause was implemented to allow the company to align its current business crypto offering with the new requirements set by the UK regulator. This decision coincides with several crypto firms suspending their services to adapt to the FCA's new promotional regulations effective from January 8, 2024.
Revolut became registered with the Financial Conduct Authority to provide crypto services in the UK in September of last year. This move in the UK mirrors Revolut's previous decision in the US, where it temporarily halted its crypto activities due to regulatory uncertainties.
