Futureverse, a Web3 and metaverse company, has partnered with best-selling author Ernest Cline to form Readyverse Studios. Its shared goal is to create a definitive destination in the metaverse for fans to engage with their favorite stories and intellectual properties.
The Readyverse seeks to leverage tech such as AR/VR, Web3, and other metaverse concepts to launch an interactive platform with digital experiences. Additionally, Readyverse Studios has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring the franchise "Ready Player One" to the metaverse across Web3. Both creators and consumers will be given the tools to create immersive interactive experiences on the platform.
Analyst QuickTake: The partnership follows Futureverse’s USD 54 million Series A funding round in July 2023 to further develop its tech. Other partnerships for experience development include with FIFA (to launch “AI League”) and ABG, the IP rights holder of the Muhammad Ali Enterprises (to launch “Muhammad Ali - The Next Legends”).
