Mercedes-Benz announces first fleet to feature AI-powered infotainment system

Product updates

  • Mercedes-Benz has announced its plans to include MB.OS, an AI-powered infotainment system, to be included in the next-gen vehicles in its family of MMA platform vehicles, which will include its entry-level models like the CLA and GLA, among other models.

  • The MB.OS system will offer an AI-driven virtual assistant called the MBUX Virtual Assistant which features 3D graphics powered by the Unity game engine, ability to learn user routines for predictive suggestions, and navigation that provides a 3D overlay of the vehicle’s view.

  • Mercedes claims MB.OS will offer a more immersive experience to the users and also allow the usage of third-party apps, such as Microsoft Teams (for video meetings), Booking.com, getAbstract, and JustEat Takeaway, as well as video streaming services such as Sony’s RIDEVU.
