Arbe Robotics, an Israel-based real-time 4D imaging radar software developer, has announced the availability of a new chipset for development and production of perception radars. It comprises a transmitter, receiver, and processor chips and is aimed at catering to safety and performance applications in the automotive industry.
The chipset includes an RF chipset with 2,304 virtual channels to enable high-resolution across azimuth, elevation, doppler, and range. The company claims the chipset is designed to meet the evolving requirements of tier 1s and OEMs with the lowest cost per channel of its competition.
Moreover, the processor offers a software-defined architecture that can host OEM-enhanced algorithms and support ongoing over-the-air updates.
