xFarm Technologies partner with OCMIS for smart irrigation

Partnerships

  • xFarm Technologies, a Swiss-Italian provider of digital farming solutions and analytics, has partnered with OCMIS, an Italian company specializing in advanced agricultural irrigation systems, to integrate OCMIS' irrigation machines with the xFarm platform.

  • Under this partnership, OCMIS irrigation machines, such as pivot and linear systems and rollers, will be able to communicate with the xFarm platform and receive irrigation advice and recommendations based on data provided by sensors in the field. Later, recommendations will be based on the integration of sensor information with information from satellite imagery, which will allow water stress indices to be calculated.

  • The two companies aim to make irrigation recommendations resulting from the integration available to customers in time for the 2024 irrigation season.
