Lilium partners with Fraport for commercial eVTOL operations at airports

Partnerships

  • Lilium, an eVTOL jet developer, has partnered with Fraport, a German airport operator, to develop infrastructure for commercial electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) operations at multiple airports in Germany and Europe. They plan to jointly undertake the planning and regulatory efforts of implementing the infrastructure.

  • The partners will focus on devising a suitable vertiport network for Lilium’s electric jets and examining future mobility concepts in the vicinity of airports.

  • Initially, the companies plan to collaborate with industry groups and the German government to introduce regional electric air mobility by speeding up the regulatory work.
