Rokt, a B2B ad monetization company focused on ecommerce brands, announced that it has agreed to acquire AfterSell, which provides upselling and cross-selling support for ecommerce merchants on Shopify, for an undisclosed amount.
Following the acquisition, Rokt plans to enhance its existing Shopify app, Rokt Ecommerce, by integrating AfterSell and UpCart's features. This integration will give small and medium-scale businesses access to the powerful AI technology, which was originally designed for large enterprises. Rokt aims to increase its service offerings to Shopify merchants, expanding its customer base in the process. The company also plans to expand AfterSell's Canada-based team in 2024 and beyond.
AfterSell provides Shopify merchants with a suite of tools to enable personalized upselling and cross-selling at various customer interaction points, including the shopping cart, checkout, and post-purchase. Notable AfterSell features include an intelligently designed shopping cart drawer, UpCart, designed to increase average order value and reduce cart abandonment rates.
