Miso Robotics, the developer of robotic kitchen assistant “Flippy ROAR,” has launched a Series D equity crowdfunding campaign to raise USD 29.7 million at a valuation of USD 350 million. The new valuation reflects an increase of USD 270 million in value since its USD 80 million Series C valuation in April 2020.
The company intends to utilize the funds primarily to support its payroll and product development.
Along with the launch, the company also announced plans to introduce an automated grab-and-go beverage dispensing robot, marking its entry into the beverage preparation robotics space. The unit is developed in partnership with Lancer Worldwide, a manufacturer of beverage dispensers. The robot directly integrates with a point-of-sale system, which triggers making the beverage, including selecting the appropriate sized cup, pouring, and sealing the drink. It would also ensure the accurate delivery of orders and syncing customers’ and delivery drivers’ arrival times.
Miso Robotics offers two products, namely “Flippy ROAR,” a burger-flipping robot on a robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) basis, and “CookRight,” the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-driven cooking platform powering Flippy as a standalone software-as-a-service (SaaS). Flippy units are currently employed at multiple White Castle and CaliBurger outlets, Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Chase Field in Phoenix, and the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop in New York.
