Ingredion partners with Better Juice to accelerate application of sugar reduction solutions in beverages

Partnerships

  • Ingredion, a global specialty ingredients provider, has partnered with Israeli enzymatic technology startup Better Juice to help expedite the application of Better Juice's sugar reduction solution in the US market.

  • Ingredion, via its venture arm, Ingredion Ventures, will lead the startup’s upcoming Series A funding round, enabling Better Juice to expand its technology into other naturally sweetened liquids like milk, beer, and wine.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Better Juice's solution removes simple sugars in juice-based beverages using an enzymatic technology, turning these sugars into dietary fibers and non-digestible sugars. This development follows the company’s partnership with GEA Group AG, another large-scale food and beverage company, to scale up and expand its global footprint.
