Ingredion, a global specialty ingredients provider, has partnered with Israeli enzymatic technology startup Better Juice to help expedite the application of Better Juice's sugar reduction solution in the US market.
Ingredion, via its venture arm, Ingredion Ventures, will lead the startup’s upcoming Series A funding round, enabling Better Juice to expand its technology into other naturally sweetened liquids like milk, beer, and wine.
Analyst QuickTake: Better Juice's solution removes simple sugars in juice-based beverages using an enzymatic technology, turning these sugars into dietary fibers and non-digestible sugars. This development follows the company’s partnership with GEA Group AG, another large-scale food and beverage company, to scale up and expand its global footprint.
