Chronosphere, a startup offering a cloud-native observability platform, has acquired Calyptia, a provider of observability pipeline solutions, for an undisclosed sum.
Calyptia is known for its work on open-source observability projects like Fluentd and Fluent Bit. These projects form part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's suite of graduated ventures. The firm's core goal was to develop these projects into SaaS products that would attract paying customers.
Following the acquisition, Chronosphere intends to utilize Calyptia's observability pipeline solution to aid developers in managing their observability data, thus gaining better control over costs and improving their productivity. Furthermore, Chronosphere intends to continue Calyptia’s association with the open-source Fluent Ecosystem.
