Pureture partners with Namyang Dairy to develop plant-based dairy products

Partnerships

  • Pureture (formerly Armored Fresh Technologies), a biotech company developing alternative dairy ingredients, has partnered with South Korean dairy manufacturer Namyang Dairy Products to develop plant-based dairy alternatives.

  • Namyang will leverage Pureture’s plant-based casein for its sustainable dairy-free product range. Pureture claims its yeast-derived protein could help create dairy-free products like smooth textured alternative milk and plant-based cheese with melt-and-stretch characteristics without incorporating additives, emulsifiers, or binders.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In 2023, Pureture launched its non-GMO plant-based casein for alternative cheese, milk, and yogurt applications. Crafted from yeast and plant-based materials, it claims to mimic dairy casein, providing enhanced taste, texture, and nutrition.
