Bagel Network, a decentralized data platform for ML models, has raised USD 3.1 million in a pre-seed funding round, which closed in December 2023. The round was led by CoinFund, with participation from Protocol Labs, Borderless Capital, Maven 11 Capital, and Graph Paper Capital, among others.
It intends to use the fresh funds to strengthen its operations, expand its five-member team, propel research and development initiatives, and enhance its data ecosystem.
Formed in 2021, Bagel Network provides a decentralized ML data network that aims to solve the disproportionate amount of data owned and controlled by large entities. The platform facilitates collaborative exchange and licensing of verifiable datasets in a cost-effective, privacy-preserving manner, allowing data scientists and AI engineers to construct ML models.
Analyst QuickTake: Bagel’s funding round coincides with Masa Network's announcement of securing USD 5.4 million in seed funding for its mainnet launch on a dedicated Avalanche Subnet in Q1 2024.
