ZTNA provider Zscaler announced the availability of a new single-vendor zero-trust secure access service edge (SASE) platform, combining its existing AI-based security service edge (SSE) platform with a newly released software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution that offers integrated zero-trust features.
The platform enables organizations to secure network traffic to and from branch offices as well as remote workers, requiring no additional routing nor firewall tools. The solution also incorporates an “adaptive” AI to help generate risk assessments by ingesting over 500 trillion signals from various points of telemetry.
Analyst QuickTake: Zscaler was not the only firm to make an SASE-related announcement this week: Netskope announced a new solution targeting medium-sized businesses just yesterday, and, today, Cato Networks launched an extended detection and response (XDR) solution targeting SASE. Furthermore, SonicWall announced the acquisition of SSE provider Banyan Security to accelerate development of SASE products. Notably, all these announcements involve a combination of products to provide full SASE functionality via a single-vendor solution.
