You.com introduces new AI modes to better respond to queries

Product updates

  • You.com, a GenAI multimodal search engine, has rolled out its new offering called AI Modes.

  • The new modes include Smart, Genius, Create, and Research functionalities designed to offer varying levels of depth and sourcing to any queries.

  • Notably, among these, Genius stands out with its capability of multi-step logical reasoning combined with data visualization. The Create Mode transforms any concept into an AI image or a chart. Research Mode specializes in delivering in-depth reports with extensive source citations and references.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The main advantage of using AI Modes are its ability to comprehend and solve multi-layered problems and its ability to respond with optimal answers accurately and quickly. This move appears to be the first among competitors like OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft—to be able to understand and solve multi-step problems. In November last year, the company also released new features to include real-time web search and multilingual responses to its search engine.
