Sports XR startup StatusPro raises USD 20 million in Series A funding to develop new sports titles

Funding

  • StatusPro, an XR sports gaming company, secured USD 20 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Google Ventures, with further contributions from luminaries such as Dream Sports, Wise Ventures, JDS Sports, and Alumni Ventures.

  • The latest funding will be directed towards the development of new sports titles and the enhancement of existing features and technology improvements.

  • StatusPro, founded by former football players Troy Jones and Andrew “Hawk” Hawkins, leverages real-time player data to produce authentic XR gaming experiences. Its two NFL Pro Era titles have more than a million users across all platforms and claim to be the fastest-selling sports title in VR history.
