Kin Insurance, a digital homeowners insurance provider, has secured a USD 15 million investment from new investor Activate Capital. The funds were raised at a valuation exceeding USD 1 billion, bringing Kin's total funding to USD 458.2 million.
The company aims to use the new funds to accelerate its growth by expanding into new markets and developing new products.
Currently, Kin operates in eight states, serving around 115,000 policyholders. Its reciprocal exchange, Kin Interinsurance, accounts for nearly USD 345 million in premiums.
