ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, partnered with flyv, an on-demand low-cost flight operator to explore the use of ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric engines in flyv's operations.
f lyv, which plans to use AI to match demand and capacity, aims to increase services at underused small airfields by using ZeroAvia's hydrogen-electric engines in its small 10-passenger aircraft. ZeroAvia will be providing its ZA600 hydrogen-electric engine, which is expected to be ready around 2025.
The partnership will also explore regional air mobility networks across Europe, focusing on the potential economic and passenger benefits of using fuel cell-powered flights.
