Nikola opens its first HYLA hydrogen refueling station in Southern California

Product updates

  • Nikola Motor Company (Nikola), a developer of heavy-duty battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) trucks, has inaugurated its first HYLA hydrogen refueling station in Southern California. The station will provide hydrogen refueling systems for Class 8 trucks.

  • The HYLA station will be able to refuel up to 40 hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 trucks daily. This project is part of a larger plan to provide up to 60 hydrogen refueling solutions in the future. The company plans to set up nine such solutions by Q2 2024.

  • Nikola reported that once the proposed nine stations are established by mid-2024, it will have created one of the largest heavy-duty hydrogen refueling networks in the world.
