Stockeld Dreamery, a Swedish company specializing in plant-based dairy, has released a new plant-based cheddar cheese product named MELT, which was developed by combining high-protein pea milk and traditional cheese fermentation techniques.
According to the company, MELT slices have superior melting properties and structural integrity, making them versatile for culinary purposes while offering a protein content higher than similar products.
Stockeld has partnered with several New York City eateries to feature MELT on menu items and plans to expand distribution in the US through ACE Natural, Fischer Foods, and Webstaurant. Additionally, the company is to launch into retail over the coming months to increase availability.
