KeyCare and WellSpan expand partnership to deliver virtual primary and behavioral health services

Partnerships

  • KeyCare, a virtual care provider, and WellSpan Health, a Pennsylvania-based health system, have expanded their partnership to focus on primary and behavioral health services.

  • KeyCare and WellSpan Health's collaboration, initiated in February 2023, has enabled the delivery of virtual urgent care to over 11,000 patients. Expanding the service lines now allows WellSpan's patients to schedule online appointments for primary care, psychiatry, therapy, and virtual annual wellness visits. This partnership not only expands WellSpan's capacity through these services, but also significantly reduces the time to access online psychiatry and therapy care for its patients compared to national averages. The collaborative use of KeyCare's Epic software also allows a seamless sharing of health records and robust data interoperability with virtual providers.

  • Analyst QuickTake: During 2023, KeyCare had signed partnerships with six entities, including WellSpan, all of which were initiated to help increase access to urgent virtual healthcare services across the US. This expansion of its partnership with WellSpan further iterates that KeyCare’s services are in high demand, and that some healthcare providers are opting to partner with virtual healthcare providers and outsource urgent virtual visits instead of developing their own platforms and solutions.
