Zenlayer, an edge data center and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider, raised USD 50 million in a Series C funding round led by Anatole Investment, Prospect Avenue Capital, and existing investor, Volcanics Venture. This round brings Zenlayer’s total funding up to USD 90 million.
The funding will be used to enhance the company’s edge cloud technology and expand its global network coverage, which currently reaches around 85% of the world.
Zenlayer noted that its revenue had grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 40% over 2017-2020, and it currently has 32 patents filed and granted.
Zenlayer offers a range of hardware, software, and data centers for the computing industry. These include metal servers, cloud networking, edge computing networks, and edge data center services. Its data center custom colocation and managed hosting options are provided in more than 180 locations (edge Points of Presence, PoPs) on six continents. Enterprises can utilize Zenlayer’s software-defined platform to deliver applications and enable worldwide connectivity using its locations.
