API firm Kong has rolled out its open-source AI Gateway, a tool that assists developers and operations teams in incorporating their applications with large language models (LLM) and accessing them through one API. This latest offering is available free of charge, but Kong expects to introduce paid premium features in the future.

The AI Gateway provides various AI-specific features such as prompt engineering, credential management, etc. The service supports AI models supplied by Anthropic, Azure, Cohere, Meta's LLaMA models, Mistral, and OpenAI.
